Who we are
Stauss Realty is a real estate brokerage at 1003 Hwy 71 South, Okoboji, IA 51355, serving buyers and sellers across the Iowa Great Lakes. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Stauss Realty and “the site” means okobojihomes.com.
What information do we collect?
Information you give us.
- Contact and valuation forms: your name, email, phone number, and anything you write in the message, such as a property address or the home you are looking for.
- Property search account: when you sign up to save homes or searches, your name, email and, if you add it, your phone number, plus the homes you save, the searches you save and your alert settings.
- Tour requests and listing questions: the listing, the time you ask for and your message.
- Phone calls, texts and emails you send us directly.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site, we and our service providers collect standard technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages and listings you view, how you reached the site, and the date and time. Part of this is collected with cookies and similar browser storage (see below).
How do we use your information?
- To answer your questions, schedule showings and help you buy or sell a home.
- To run your property search account: saved homes, saved searches and the listing alerts you ask for.
- To send you the updates you asked for, which you can stop at any time (see your choices below).
- To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it (for example, which pages are read most).
- To keep the site secure and to meet our legal and real estate licensing obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. Mobile phone numbers and text message consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Only with the people and companies that help us serve you:
- Our agents and staff at Stauss Realty who work with you.
- Our property search provider (AeroIDX), which runs the listing search, your search account and listing alerts for us.
- Our customer management system (GoHighLevel), where we keep your contact details and messages so our team can follow up with you.
- Google Analytics, which measures site visits for us (details below).
- Our website hosting and email providers, which store and deliver the site and its messages.
- The other parties in your transaction, such as the other agent, a lender or a title company, when you ask us to and as your transaction requires.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files your browser stores. The site uses them to keep you signed in to your search account, remember your search settings, and measure visits with Google Analytics. Google Analytics tells us things like how many people visited a page and whether they contacted us, not who you are. Listing information on the site comes from the local multiple listing service. It is shown for your personal, non-commercial use and is not guaranteed; confirm the details that matter to you before you rely on them.
What choices do you have?
- Emails: use the unsubscribe link in a listing alert or newsletter, or email us and we will stop.
- Listing alerts: change or turn them off in your search account, or ask us to.
- Texts: if you agreed to receive texts, reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

How long do we keep it, and how do we protect it?
We keep your information while we are working with you and for as long as we need it afterward for the reasons above, including records the law or our real estate license requires. We use reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access limited to the people who need it. No website can promise perfect security, so please do not send sensitive financial details, such as bank account numbers, through the site forms.
Children
The site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
